hi, i'm Anne!
Hi, my name is Anne. I am a recovering perfectionist and for most of my life I had this undercurrent of pressure to perform and to do, do, do. I thought I could do it all and then when I thought I had it all (the marriage, the baby, the house, the career, the financial security, the social life and the fitness side hustle) my body very clearly told me I couldn’t.
After having my daughter, my health declined and my father died, but I just kept on going and doing. It took me a year and a half to finally go to the doctor where I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s; an autoimmune thyroid disorder.
So began my journey back to health and what I realized along the way is that the most valuable part of my healing was learning to slow down and regulate my nervous system. I was so use to being in the doing, flight or fight mode, that my body went haywire. Sure, the diet changes and medication helped, but learning tools to deal with stress and calm my nervous system helped the most. For me, those tools were movement and breathwork and why today I want to share those tools with others.
I am a comprehensively certified Pilates instructor through Balanced Body, along with being a certified Barre instructor and have been teaching fitness since 2014. I also have three different Breathwork teaching certifications and am always seeking further knowledge.
