Introduction to Breathwork

A 4 week online program where we will work 1 on 1 together and you will learn simple breathing exercises and techniques to help you breathe better and feel better. Each week we will meet over Zoom for 30 minutes; go over a breathwork lesson and do a breathwork practice. In between sessions you will receive breathwork exercise videos to practice each day so you can truly integrate the benefits of breathwork into your life.

Breathe

Exhale: Pilates + Breathwork

A breath and movement experience consisting of an energizing breathing exercise, a full body Pilates workout, a grounding breathwork practice and brief meditation. This class will leave you feeling rejuvenated and balanced.

Move

A 60 minute breathwork experience. We will be using a specific breathwork technique called Conscious Circular or Somatic Breathwork. It is a three part breath designed to get you out of your head and into your body.  As an active meditation technique there are many benefits including; inner peace and tranquillity, clarity, gaining a deeper sense of connection, reduction of stress and anxiety, improved creativity and better sleep. This is a more intense technique, so when signing up please make sure to read all of the contraindications.

Transform

Ritual: Full Moon Breathwork Workshop

Where: Kink Pilates in Waltham
Cost: $39

The full moon is a time of energy, power and release. Come use the power of your breath to release thoughts/beliefs/emotions that no longer serve you. This workshop will be a time of reflection with some light journaling and gentle movement followed by an active breathing meditation using a connected circular breathing technique. This is a powerful somatic process with many benefits including: reduction of stress and anxiety, inner peace, clarity, gaining a deeper sense of connection, transformation, improved creativity and better sleep.


Though this breathwork is safe and often healing; physical and emotional release can occur along with physiological changes. Therefore, the following conditions are contraindications for participating:

  • History of Aneurysms

  • History of Strokes or Seizures

  • Cardiovascular Issues (i.e., angina, prior heart attacks)

  • High Blood Pressure (that is not controlled)

  • Epilepsy

  • Pregnancy

  • Glaucoma

  • Detached Retina

  • Asthma

  • Diagnosis of bipolar, schizophrenia, PTSD or hospitalization history for any psychiatric condition

  • Recent Surgery
